Q&A
So what EXACTLY does the software do and how does it work?
The software is a custom built application that interacts with
betfair through their api. Don't worry if you don't know what
an api is at the moment. Betfair is a betting exchange where
people exchange bets with each other. The software will
hopefully supply a list of horses that the majority will lose.
What is laying horse?
Laying horses is the opposite to backing a horse to win. You
are in effect just looking for the horse or horses you
have 'layed' to lose.
So do I pick the horses at all?
No, the software will load all the horse names once you hit
start. These horse will then be 'layed' on betfair.
What is the minimum stake?
You can set your lay stake to as little as £2.
So do I need a betfair account?
Yes, you need a betfair account or you will have to open one.
How much can I lose?
It depends on the odds of the horse. If you 'lay' a horse at
5.00 for £2 and it wins you will lose £8 if the horse wins.
So what happens if one of the horses wins at 100/1?
This can happen sometimes that a horse wins at odds of 100/1,
but is almost impossible that we will lay a horse at odds as
big as that. You can also add in a filter saying the maximum
price you want to 'lay' a horse. e.g. tell the program to
'lay' no horse more than 6/1.
Is there ever any days that I will lose?
Yes, some days you will lose but overall we are pretty
confident that over a week or month you will be well up.
Should I invest all my savings in my betfair account and
use this software?
Absolutely not. This is gambling and is a high risk. Only bet
with what you can afford to lose.
